Planning a trip raises lots of questions. Rest assured that we are here to answer all of your inquiries. We have compiled a list of frequently asked questions that we think will be of use to you. Read below, and if you have any questions, please reach out: conchcayvilla@gmail.com

Exuma is a fairly remote island. With that, come some differences and challenges that may be different than your day-to-day life at home.

Power outages are a normal thing that could happen during your stay. In our experience, they typically happen 1-2x a week (or less) and last a couple hours (or less). We have flashlights available! We also provide a surge protector with battery back-up, so you can charge your phone or plug in a fan in the event of an outage.

Products are brought in via ferry once a week. This makes the cost of products higher than at home. Please be conscious of this fact while shopping or dining at restaurants. If things are unavailable--they'll be on the next ferry in. (:

Salty island air corrodes metal appliances very quickly! We do our best to keep the faucets, appliances and fixtures fresh.

ISLAND THINGS

WHERE IS CONCH CAY VILLA LOCATED?

Conch Cay Villa is located in Palm Bay Villas on Great Exuma between the airport and Georgetown. If you need a GPS location, enter Hideaways Resort. We share a parking lot with the Hideaways and are located on the hill overlooking their property.

From the airport, drive until you head down the hill to a large roundabout. take the second exit (essentially a right turn) onto Queen's Highway. You will pass Smitty's Grocery store on your left, then Napa Auto on your right. You will drive a few minutes before seeing the Hideaways (bright blue building) on your left. Turn in to the parking lot across the street. We have a private parking lot above the large parking lot available for your use.

HOW FAR TO THE BEACH?

Palm Bay Villas are located directly across the street from the Hideaways Resort and you have access to their gorgeous beach. A short 4 minute walk across Queens Highway leads you to the beach seen below with amazing snorkeling and views of Elizabeth Harbor. Walk two beaches down and you're at Jolly Hall beach--one of the most pristine beaches on Exuma!

WHERE IS THE CloseST RESTAURANT?

We charge a cleaning fee of $175 for your stay, plus a VAT for rental properties.

Splash! Restaurant is located right across the street within the Hideaways Resort! They offer breakfast. lunch and dinner! They serve great local food options as well as pizza, burgers & fries, crack chicken and of course, super cold drinks!

ARE THERE ANY CLEANING FEES OR ADDITIONAL CHARGES?

IS THIS PROPERTY PART OF THE HIDEAWAYS RESORT?

No, we are not a part of the Hideaways Resort and therefore you will not have access to the amenities they offer. (ie: their pool, chairs, water equipment like paddleboards + kayaks).

The beach is shared and Palm Bay renters are permitted to use public Hideaways beach access paths and the beach!

We offer beach chairs, beach towels and floats for your enjoyment!

ARE PETS ALLOWED?

No, pets are not allowed in our unit at this time

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

Cancel 60 days before check-in and you will receive a 100% refund.
Cancel 30 days before check-in and receive a 50% refund (minus service fee).
No refund will be offered if you cancels less than 30 days before check-in.

WHAT IS REQUIRED FOR BOOKING?

We require half of the full payment to hold your reservation. We will charge your card for the second half of the payment the month before your arrival.
